Windows 7

Hello, I’m posting a Video today about the new Features of Windows 7. I Recent record my Desktop and explained a few new features in Windows 7. I do a quick walk through the Taskbar and Desktop enhancements. The video is kind of fuzzy and hard to see. The audio isn’t much better but I had to convert it 3 times so the quality of the original was destroyed. I wanted encoded it with the codec H.264 and make a .avi file type but Windows Movie maker kept me form doing it. Also don’t full screen it because YouTube will cover up the task bar with the progression bar for the video. If you have any questions or comments Email me or leave some under the Video. Also if you can't see anything I'm doing just click on the video and see it at Youtube, because it will show you the bigger version. That is all and happy holidays…

Hello,
This is a very good video. I was surprised by the quality of the transitions. I was able to make mine using powerpoint without worrying about CODECS. You are right about the sound quality. I used a Plantronics headset and the quality came out well. I liked the content. I suffering with Vista and might change, but I think it would be cheaper to purchase a new PC.

It was interesting to see the slideshow background but for future videos I would recommend turning off the background as it distracts from the focus of each of your points.

What I appreciated learning was that there is a separate version for netbooks - I hadn't picked up on that before. Thanks!!

Edward, I'm sold. Now that the semester is over, I will take advantage of the free upgrade my newish laptop is due. If you-all are all still watching class blogs, will post my progress/success/problems there. Funny how W7 appears so similar to my sister's new Macbook?! Though the sound quality was not great, I heard every word. That's good enough for everyday communication.

Really good presentation on Windows 7! I just upgraded my laptop to Windows 7 Professional and I really love it! Much better than Vista. I'm about to do the same to my desktop tomorrow. The theme effect with the changing backgrounds is also one of my favorite features of Windows 7.

I enjoyed your video. Your video presentation was an excellent introduction to Window 7. Quick question- how much is Windows 7? I am interesting in purchasing a laptop which has Window 7 software. Good Job!

I enjoyed the video a lot. I am awaiting my update to Windows 7 and I am watching everything that has to do with it so I can learn as much as possible. I liked the overview of the different features you did and it just made me even more anxious for my upgrade.

I love windows 7. I just barely upgraded and I'm still learning the in's and out's of the new os. Watching your video gave me some new things to explore and was very well put together. Thanks for that.

Thanks for all of your Comments. If you interested in purchasing Windows 7 its going to run you from 100 dollars to 300 depending on what version you get. You can also get a Free copy of Windows 7 Pro from the School by signing up for the Academic Alliance. You'll need to be registered and taking a CIT class to qualify to get a copy. Judy may know more on how to sign up.

I think the idea was great, it was a lot like mine actually with the tutorial style and what-not. I have been interested in what all the fuss was about Windows & and I found your video very informative. I like some of the extra features but it seems to me that every time Windows comes out with a new version, it looks more and more like a Mac...what do you think?
